The jet stream has dived even further south. Belize will be pretty cool tonight. Hope this jet pulls away soon.

The jet stream has invaded the deep south of the United States bringing unseasonable cold to the area. The cold front is suppose to stall just to the north of Belize so we will probably miss the frigid temperatures. Right now a slow moving trough of lower pressure is moving across Belize causing an outbreak of rain.

A series of cold fronts have been travelling across the Gulf of Mexico keeping the weather in Belize relatively cool. However the wind has been light making the cool temperature very comfortable. A new cold front is now entering the North West corner of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a High Pressure over southern Mexico which is tilting the jet stream off to the north east. But extremely cold air continues to flood down over eastern Canada and this should provide the conditions for a continuation of more cold fronts into next week

The Arctic polar jet stream is plunging far to the south so it looks like Belize is going to experience some very cool weather for the next 3 or 4 days. Strong 1021 High Pressure is likely to build over the Yucatan which will result in some cold nights.

Unhappy news about what has happened to the weather. The dry air that was advancing towards Belize, almost reached Belize a few days ago, but has retreated and now being replaced with some significant moisture, which we do not need. There has been around 12 mm of rain each  night for the past 3 nights, and now at 5 PM we are having some heavy rain. Not Good.

Latest region of dry air, the darkest is the driest (warmest temperature). Looks like some sort of sea creature. Belize had a few more showers last night, measured 9 mm. Total of past two nights is now about 26 mm. Today and tonight should be dry.
