Since my last report, an area of high pressure became established off the eastern coast of Central America. This prevented any showers from developing. Foggy morning gave way to clear days and nights and seasonal temperatures. No chance of rain for the foreseeable future. Little chance  of rain until around the next full moon March 7 - 8.

There is a cold front pushing across the Gulf of Mexico. This could trigger a few showers overnight. Will update in the morning.
Since my last report the weather has been very nice, sunny, warm and dry. Good gardening weather.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

Some showers are returning, this time moving in from the south west which is opposite of the normal. Right now it is 7PM here in Belmopan and a shower is just passing through.

The weather has finally cleared as the area of rain has moved off to the north east. Today was sunny with a cool wind from the east.

Thursday, February 2, 2012

There was a heavy rainfall today, over 30mm. A lot of surface water everywhere. This should be the beginning of the dry season. Something is not normal. Not sure what is causing all the moisture right now. The forecast is for a significant rainfall this weekend due the approach of a cold front. Its only Feb. 2 and already there is 50 mm of rain.!!
