Very little change from last report, just increasing high cloud late in the day which dissipates overnight.

Friday, March 16, 2012

There has been no rain since the rainy days at the beginning of the month. The dry season seems now to be firmly established. There will be little change in the weather from day to day. Will likely only do updates now about every 2 weeks.

Thursday, March 8, 2012

Weather pattern similar to yesterday except showers were moderate and brief. Total rainfall for the month is now 4.7 inches, well above normal for this time of the month. The weather should now become more dry for the next few weeks.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Some lingering showers persisted overnight and this morning due to a warm  moist northeast air flow over-riding the cooler, heavier air on the land surface. The total rainfall since the the beginning of the cold front system of Sunday night is now about 94 mm or 3.7 inches, which is more than for the entire month of February.

Monday, March 5, 2012

The cold front did become stationary. Steady rainfall all day Monday. Measured 50 mm of rain since the rain began last night. The total rainfall for all of February 2012 was 83 mm. The forecast is for the rain to continue for a while longer.

The strong cold front mentioned previously, arrived last night accompanied by a cold steady rain. So far up to 8 o'clock this morning there has been about 25 mm of rain. The cold front is forecast to become stationary and gradually weaken over the next few days.

Saturday, March 3, 2012

The weather has been warm and dry since my last report. Today the sky is perfectly clear, the sun is very bright. The black area of the image shows the region of the clearest and driest weather. A cold front ( the same front that caused the severe outbreak of Tornado in the Midwest US) has entered the Gulf of Mexico and may reach Belize Sunday night. Will report on this later.
