A cold front passing to the north of Belize, has produced a moist north east air flow over the Yucatan. This resulted in significant rainfall overnight and again this morning. I have measured just over 2 inches of rain (53 mm). The weather cleared around noon time leaving behind low cloud. The cold front is still north of Belize. The total rainfall so far this month is 126 mm or 5 inches. This could mean above average rainfall for January 2012.
