An upper level trough of low pressure extends from tropical storm Beryl off the east coast of Florida down to Honduras near Belize. An area of thundershowers formed overnight along this trough northeast of Belize and moved southward down the coast of Belize. A thundershower began about 4 AM which turned into continuous rain from 5 AM to around 9 AM. East of Belize the Caribbean is still dry. Most of the rainfall lately is concentrated over Central America. Circulation on the Pacific side of Central America is throwing a lot of moisture to the northeast over Belize.
