There were more showers last night bringing the total for May so far to 7.2 inches. The band of moisture that has been affecting the region for the past 9 days has now drifted off to the east. We are now finally back to dry weather again. The weather should now remain relatively dry until we start encountering the Atlantic hurricane season which begins 1 June 2012. I am predicting a fairly quiet season for hurricanes at least until October.
