A heavy thundershower started at 8:26PM and is still continuing. However the image shows the heavy rain to the north of Belmopan and not in Belmopan itself. We must be right at the southern edge of the heavy rainfall. At this time the sun is sending out some waves of ionization. This ionization could be aiding the flare up of the thunderstorm activity in this part of Central America. Also the Earth is approaching the area of the Lyrid meteor shower. It is now 8:50 PM and the rain is becoming lighter. Will report on how much rain in the morning.
