A Cold Front has crossed Belize and has become more or less stationary in the Gulf of Honduras.
Light Rain has been falling all evening and continuing into this night. There is a cool north wind blowing. This stationary front is suppose to become diffuse Thursday morning.

There is a Cold Front moving across the Yucatan that may affect Belize tonight. This keep the weather in Belize cool and dry for the next few days.

A weak cold front passed though Belize last night with a cool north wind. A stronger cold front is now just approaching the northern Yucatan. This cold front should reach Belize tonight. There is not much rain associated with these fronts.

The moisture from the remains of Hanna drifted to the northwest to a position off the coast of Belize where the system gradually dissipated. Over the past 24 hours here in Belmopan we received 111.0 mm rainfall. Right now at 7:20 PM the sky is clearing and the moon is visible.

 Tropical Depression 9 has turned into Tropical Storm Hanna and is now located at 15.4 N by 82.8 W The storm is forecast to move south west and then dissipate over land. Heavy rainfall expected over parts of Honduras. Not sure what affect will be on Belize yet.

The recent Tropical Depression 9 now just a weak Low is still active and now located off the east coast of Honduras. It is embedded in the tail end of a cold front. This Low is forecast to drift SW into Nicaragua. The weather in Belize very pleasant at the moment due to the passage of the Cold Front.

The Tropical Depression ( called TD9) described a few days ago failed to developed and collapsed into a weak Low Pressure. This Low was absorbed by a cold front over the northern Yucatan and moved off to the east towards Cuba. In Belize at my location in I measured 0.82 inches of rain last night due to a moderate shower. Today is just cloudy with a light northerly breeze. Most of the Caribbean is experiencing fair weather.

A tropical depression is developing in the southern Gulf of Mexico and is drifting to the east towards the Yucatan. This is going to create some unsettled weather for Belize over the next few days. Will be following this system for further developments.

I was traveling in September and first part of October so was not making any daily contributions to this weather blog. I do know that there were frequent showers during this period resulting in a six week rainfall of about 13 inches in September plus 8 inches up to this time in October. The ground is fairly saturated with moisture as a result of the rainfall in combination with cloudy skies and relatively light wind which did not contribute to any significant evaporation. All this is in contrast to the abnormally dry weather during the months of June, July and August. Overall the weather has been fairly uneventful due to the lack of Hurricanes or other violent weather in this region of Central America.

Tropical Wave now in the process of crossing Belize.
Rain started in Belmopan at 1235 Hr. There is an upper wind outflow at 17.5 N, 83.9 W. The wave is moving westward at about 20 mph. I expect about 18 mm of rain from this wave since the cloud tops are collapsing.
